3.0 PREPARATORY STEPS

Check your LSM version (launch LSM, “blue question mark” icon)

LSM 2.2 = from version 2.2.606.14

LSM 2.3 = from version 2.3.701.31

LSM 2.4 = from version 2.4.0806.03

LSM 2.4a = from version 2.4.0811.11

Import all Pocket PC or Palm data

Close all LSM GUIs

• Close all CommNodes and the CommNode Server

• Launch the “Advantage Configuration Utility” on the server

• Note the settings in the

“Configuration Utility” tab Â “Database Settings”

Number of Index Files:

Number of Data Locks:

• Note the following settings in the “Installation Info” tab and compare them with

your current licence information. If you have any questions, please contact the

• Take the validation code from the licence information

Validation Code

• Close the “Advantage Database Server” service on the server

• Save the current database

• You need local administrator rights to perform the updates

• Follow the update instructions for your LSM version
